Name: Crystal Stevens
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: 5'5 and wears a black hoodie, but usually keeps the hood down. Hazel eyes and blonde hair with 2 dyed streaks in front. Black fingernails and wears jeans. Clothes slightly tattered.
Abilities: Is happy and can brighten people up...usually. Is the only thing that can calm Andrew down.
Biography: Crystal wnet through a downward spiral after her parents died in a car crash (after which she moved in with her aunt and uncle), for two years. Before then she had been pleasant and friendly. However after the crash, she was the dark girl in school, that barely talked. After a while her friends deserted her. Her grades were slipping and therapy was needed. It didn't help. Crystal hated know-it-all adults and wasn't going to be fooled, or "express herself" to them. Eventually her Aunt and Uncle couldn't afford the therapy, which they had realized was a waste of money.
In her second year, she worsened. Most people get better where she didn't. She grew pale, sickly, and completely unhealthy. Her Aunt and Uncle had no idea what to do. They were unable to help and felt useless. However it all changed on one day.
She had skipped school and sat on a hill. She was remembering her parents, but it was getting harder and harder to do that. Then a boy approached her out of nowhere. "What are you doing?" was the first thing he ever said to her.
They argued for an hour at least by the sidewalk, before apologizing and just talking. They both were unpleasant, cold and harsh, and at that point, you could qualify their "talking" as just more arguing. Still, she came back the next day and so did he. Soon they met on the weekends, and he would bring food to the hill. They would just talk, and Crystal began to smile often again.
Her Aunt and Uncle had no idea at first what had caused this turn around for her, and could care less after two years of her being depressed. She got new friends and was once again happy. She became more and more interested in Andrew and learned about him. He talked to her as an equal, and a human being. He never looked down on her, with pity or anything. She learned of his flaws and what made him laugh.
He learned about her. She was so comfortable talking to him. They met more and more. Sometimes they skipped class, but with Andrew's already good grades and Crystal's increasingly better grades, it didn't usually matter. Her Aunt and Uncle never asked when a phone call came from school. After a while she let the question slip, "Are you dating anyone?" The answer no was unexpected, but her shyness kept her from asking him out. Not long after that, Andrew stepped up and asked her out.
A year later the incident that brought her to the town happened and they were separate. Now reunited, Crystal wants to get out with Andrew alive.
